Garrison Keillor & Lake Wobegon
One of my greatest regrets, one that I developed on June 25, 2016, is that I didn't see Prairie Home Companion more than once at Tanglewood in western Massachusetts. It was my first and only time.
Tanglewood is one of the most beautiful places on the planet and thank goodness it was saved for people like you and me to go there and sit among towering, hardwood and pine trees on a gorgeous, well-manicured lawn beneath a setting sun. God lies just beyond and within such an experience.
I also read today in the New York Times that Garrison Keillor writes much of the show and his News from Lake Wobegon is a riff that he steps into for each telling and is able to access some internal spirit to bring out such incredible and subtly deep stories. I loved seeing it and love hearing it whenever I have the chance.
Below is the News from Lake Wobegon that I was able too see.
